I can see an option to archive conversations, but I cannot find a trash or recycle bin. When I ask an Agent to delete a file from its Drive, where does it go, and how can I get it back?
Where is the trash folder in Buda Drive, and how can I recover a deleted file?

First, which item are you trying to recover: an Agent, a conversation (Session), or a file in Drive? They have different places to look:
- An Agent is missing: If you archived it, open Space settings → Archived Agents, find it, and click Restore. This restores archived Agents; it does not mean a confirmed permanent deletion can be undone.
- A conversation / Session is missing: Open that Agent’s settings, go to Archive → Archived sessions, find the conversation, and click Restore. Archiving removes it from the default list; it is separate from the file trash folder in Drive.
- You want to recover a Drive file: If you asked the Agent to delete it, first check that Agent’s hidden folder
/agent/.trash/. The steps, screenshot, and recovery prompt are below.
If you are unsure which case applies, tell us whether the missing item is an Agent, a conversation, or a file, and whether you chose Archive or Delete. A screenshot with private information covered can also help us point you to the right place.

When you ask a Buda Agent to delete a file, its file-safety instructions tell it to move the file into /agent/.trash/, a hidden folder in that Agent’s Drive. This is separate from archiving a conversation or deleting an Agent.
To find it:
- Open the Agent that handled the file and go to its Drive.
- Select Agent Drive (
/agent) and return to its root folder. - Click the eye icon in the toolbar to turn on Show hidden files, then look for
.trash.

This screenshot shows the control in the public Demo. Whether .trash exists and what it contains depend on your actual Agent’s files.
You can also ask the Agent to check and help restore a file:
Check /agent/.trash/ and list its contents without emptying or deleting anything. I want to recover [filename or description]. Identify the file and propose where to restore it, then wait for my confirmation before moving it. Do not overwrite an existing file.
The idea is to move files aside instead of permanently deleting them. A file that is still there can be moved back out. Files in this folder still use storage space.
This instruction does not guarantee recovery for every deletion. Deleting through the Drive interface or running a permanent-delete command in a terminal is not guaranteed to move a file here. If the file is absent from .trash, recovery cannot be promised. Confirm and back up anything you need before emptying the folder.
